Events & Courses

The following organisations host or promote events & courses at a variety of levels. Some catering for homeowners, craft/trades people or professionals working within the heritage sector:

Ty-Mawr has been running specialist courses in traditional and ecological building for over a decade, in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

SPAB runs a number of different technical courses and topics vary each year.

IHBC promotes events in Conservation.

Cathedral Communications Ltd (Building Conservation.com) provide a list of events, seminars, exhibitions and courses being held across the country by a wide variety of organisations, colleges etc.

English Heritage runs a number of training schemes to support the development of the necessary skills in the heritage sector.

CABE is the government's advisor on architecture, urban design and public space. The events and education pages provide links to learning resources.

Council For British Archaeology (CBA) hosts, organises and co-ordinates a large number of events throughout the year ranging from hands on training sessions and workshops to lectures & holidays.

The Listed Property Owners Club provide details of events and training.

National Heritage Training Group (NHTG) help to deliver training that will ensure we have sufficient skilled cratfs people.
